Where is Gold Coast Hinterland?

The Gold Coast Hinterland is a nature lovers paradise home to ancient national parks with great walking trails, waterfalls and lush rainforest; as well as mountain villages and country towns all within a stones throw from the Gold Coast. Of particular note is the beautiful Tamborine Mountain, perfect for sightseeing day trips.

The Tamborine Mountain & Tamborine area includes seven national parks with a variety of sub-tropical rainforest. With waterfalls, excellent picnic facilities and walking tracks, Tamborine Mountain is a great escape from the busy Gold Coast city.

A little further north of the Tamborine Mountain area is the stunning Scenic Rim, including the Springbrook Mountain plateau, Lamington National Park, Mt Barney and Cunninghams Gap. The township of Springbrook has a range of accommodation, a variety of eating places from licensed and BYO restaurants to boutique shops and picturesque drives.

The towns of the Gold Coast Hinterland all offer a quaint village-like feel with strong histories, great local produce, events, and some of the most stunning natural attractions in Queensland.
