Our restaurant is called the Tamborine Restaurant & Bar and also known as the Bearded Dragon Tavern. It is a family-friendly venue located at the base of Mt Tamborine, offering all-day dining with country-style pub food, including steaks, burgers, and signature beef and Guinness pie.

We’re open seven glorious days a week for All Day Dining, perfect for hungry adventurers and lazy grazers alike.

🕗 Join us from 8am on weekends and 9am weekdays, with the kitchen firing until 8pm. Click here to book.

We highly recommend it – especially on Live Music Days, Public Holidays, or when we’re hosting weddings or wild donkeys’ parties (yes, that’s a thing). Even if we look quiet, we might have a crowd of 300 behind the barn doors! Call us on 07 5543 6888 or book online. 

Our restaurant menu is a proper Tamborine affair – a mix of country classics, modern Aussie pub fare, and rotating blackboard specials. Think parmas the size of your face, juicy steaks, burgers with attitude, and brekkie favourites to boot. Check out our takeaway website for current blackboard specials. 

We’ve got a coeliac-friendly kitchen and our chefs are whizzes at dietary magic, whether you’re gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free or just plain fussy. Call ahead if you’ve got a big list – we’ll make sure you’re well fed and cared for.

You bet your boots it is! We’ve got a Dragons Playground, Colouring-in competitions (you could even win an overnight family stay!), a great Kids’ Menu, a paddock bigger than a cricket pitch, and the odd appearance from Clancy the donkey (if he’s not off causing mischief).

Yes indeedy! Dogs are welcome on-lead in our outdoor areas. We’ve got water bowls, shady nooks, and loads of pats waiting. Bonus points if your dog is actually a bearded dragon,  we’ve had a few of those stop in too! Read more here. 

We sure do… and not just your average scrambled eggs! 🍳 Breakfast runs from 9am weekdays & 8am on weekends, finishing at 10.30am daily. Every weekend, the Beergarden comes alive with unique live music from 2pm til 5pm. From acoustic duos to bush bands, we bring the true Aussie pub vibe with shaded sails, misters for summer, and heaters in winter.

Yep! Our entire menu can be ordered for takeaway outside of peak service times. Ask about our takeaway burgers, snacks, and drinks, perfect for a bushwalk or a lazy paddock picnic. And yes, there’s coffee to-go too!

The Bearded Dragon Hotel is set on 110 acres of native countryside in the Gold Coast. All rooms at Mt. Tamborine’s Bearded Dragon are air conditioned, and offer tea and coffee making facilities. Each room comes with a TV and DVD player. Shared laundry facilities are available.

We’ve got cosy spa suite rooms, family‑friendly spacious bunk rooms, two full accessible rooms and a superior suite room — perfect whether you’re after a romantic city escape, a weekend in the country with mates, or a family getaway (kids and grown‑ups included).

Absolutely — you can book straight through our direct website site, or ring us if you prefer a chat with a human (I might answer sometimes, so long as you don’t mind talking to a donkey— though Clancy might find the line more interesting).

Check‑in is from 2:00 pm, and check‑out by 10:00 am… just enough time to gather your boots, bid farewell to the donkeys, and hit the scenic road (or stay for one last cuppa). Yes we do have early checkin or late checkouts subject to availability and costs apply.

Yes, plenty of on‑site parking, free of charge and right by your room. Great for big groups, caravans, utes (even the odd horse float). Perfect if you’re bringing out-of-town guests for a wedding or reunion.

Oh, we love animals here but unfortunately only doggy friendly for our day visitors who are dining in the beergarden / restaurant and not suitable for our overnight accommodation! While we ask that you check with us first if you’re bringing a pet, our resident donkeys Clancy, Mabel and friends are often out and about. Expect hoof‑prints and happy snorts, a true bush‑style welcome.

We get it… life happens, storms roll in, plans shift. As long as you let us know 7 days ahead, we’ll try our best to accommodate changes or cancellations. For last‑minute shifts for direct bookings with us, give us a bell and we’ll see what we can do (donkeys permitting). Unfortunately if you book with a 3rd party multinational overseas website (like booking…com etc) we have strict cancellation policies in place.
