Brendan the Bard is music man located in Brisbane, Aus. He makes a living playing the classic pub cover sets around Brisbane. He has also been known to spin a musical yarn of my own. His first EP ‘Bootleg’ was released in 2018. It got a little bit of airplay via unearthed on Triple J’s Roots n’ All show and local radios stations around Australia, which we think is pretty neat!
A second EP is being slated for release in early 2021, featuring my previous 3 singles and 3 new songs. All self-funded by playing gigs and released independently.
Don’t take his word for it but we think people would say he is known for a strong singing voice that can belt, converse and soothe accompanied by my bull-at-a-gate guitar playing which can transform from frantic strumming into gentle picking on a dime.
To quote him; ‘The music I write isn’t anything ground-breaking. It’s a lone dude with a guitar singing bad poetry about his life and the world as he sees it over four chords like a million others. But it’s mine, and I love it. One of the only truths I know in life is that when I have a guitar in my hands and a microphone in front of face I know that I’m exactly where I ought to be. I believe in every syllable I sing and chord I play.’
He has been lucky enough in his short career to share a stage with some of Australia’s best up-and-coming acts like Jaguar Jonez, The Dreggs, and Josh Cashman.
