Pink Breasts, Pink Bikers, Pink Parachutists, Pink Ribbons and a Pink Bearded Dragon…
helping the Warrior Princess save more lives…..
In celebration of all things PINK and supporting the Pink Ribbon Charity, this seen to be believed spectacle of participants will all come together at Bearded Dragon Boutique Hotel, Tamborine.
30th October will see the running of the 4th annual Pink Ribbon Ride – Raising Money for Breast Cancer Research. In 2004 around 1000 people participated and over $10,000 was raised, in 2005, we would like to see 1500 people and raise $15,000 - $20,000.
The event is organised by the Womens International Motorcycle Association, a small club with a branch in Brisbane of around 60 members – pretty good bang for buck from such a small group!
This years ride will also coincide with the final leg of a 2nd Breast Cancer Ride, the inaugural Australian Changing Gears Ride from Sydney to Brisbane by a group of 20 young breast cancer survivors. Changing Gears is an initiative of Amazon Heart, a unique organization founded by two young breast cancer survivors, Californian Megan Dwyer, and Australian Meredith Campbell.
All proceeds raised on the day will go to the Queensland Cancer Fund for Breast Cancer Research
