Ben Eaton has an extensive history in guitar playing. 1990s produced regular hard rock and metal cover band gigs in North Queensland including support acts with Baby Animals and Boom Crash Opera. 1998 Brisbane Original prog rock band Zooid had a single on the compilation album Images of my Underworld also featuring Grinspoon and Dogmachine, and joining original numetal band Stale meant regular touring of the east coast.

1999 saw Ben pursuing a session career with local performers while also doing several outside broadcasts on B105FM and a feature gig at Sydneys The Basement with rising pop sensation Rebekah K. The Original band Shesaid formed in 2000, and was a turning point in the career of this journeyman guitarist/vocalist.

Funk, folk, blues and world music with jazz flavours have seen the band perform in festivals such as Woodford folk Festival, West End street festival, Noosa jazz Festival as well as the Brisbane music scene, and shows up and down the East Coast More recently the Ben Eaton Trio project, an original Funk/Blues/Jazz trio has occupied Bens creative energy.

Centered around his virtuosic guitar skills, powerful smooth vocals, and an ability to write both conventional as well as unusual songs, this group (rounded out by Scott Nosworthy on the drums and Chris Gilbert on the bass) brings an enticing and dynamic energy to every live show.

Ben has recently finished the Ben Eaton Trio album- Life Gets in the Way-Which was launched at the 2008 Noosa Jazz Festival- and with the trio has been building a strong and growing following off the back of powerhouse live shows and local radio airplay.

As well as live shows Ben splits his time with teaching and heads the guitar tuition department at respected private studio Learn Music, Victoria Point. His focus as a performer has always been on excellence both technically and emotively while maintaining an emphasis on trying new things and having a great time playing music.
